Montville Kiwanis Food Pantry Opens Additional Drop-Off Sites for Donations

The Montville Kiwanis Club’s  Food Pantry, is located at the United Methodist Church on Whitehall Road (Route 202) next to the Towaco Fire House.

The food pantry is adding two new additional satellite drop off locations, in addition to the Montville Executive Suites located at 330 Changebridge Road, Suite 101 in  Pine Brook (973) 575-6080. This location  is open Monday through Friday for donations from 9:30 a.m. - 3:30p.m.

The Montville Township Police, First Aid Squad, and Firefighters can help save your life with a little help from you!!

Did you know that by simply adding reflective street address numbers on your mailbox can help the Police, First Aid Squad, and Firefighters find your home more readily?  Something this simple can help save time in a crisis situation -  where every second counts!

Appreciation for Montville Fire and Police

Montville fire, police there to help

To the Editor:

The March 13 storm blew a giant pine tree down on our house taking electric wires with it. Live wires lay arching on our porch roof for 18 hours until Jersey Central Power & Light arrived.

During those long, terrifying hours, the heroic firefighters of the Pine Brook Fire Department were our angels watching over our house until they knew we were out of danger. I especially want to thank Assistant Chief Jim Schmitt, Rocky Trifari and Don Welter for staying all night into Sunday. Thank you to all the firefighters who responded to our need. Thank you also to Montville police for watching our house while it was without power and empty. We really are blessed to live in a town with such brave and competent professionals who responded without hesitation.
