Montville's Duka goes No. 8 in Major League Soccer draft

Dilly Duka is much happier with a soccer ball at his feet than standing in front of a podium. As Duka heard his name boom over the loudspeakers at the Philadelphia Convention Center, he felt more anxious than he had expected.

Duka had been selected by the Columbus Crew with the eighth overall pick in Major League Soccer's SuperDraft on Thursday afternoon. His professional soccer career was finally about to begin. But first, the 20-year-old from Montville had to say a few words to the coaches, executives, and raucous fans.
