ago, Gilda
Radner died of ovarian cancer. Her symptoms were inconclusive,
and she was treated for everything under the sun until it was too late. This
blood test finally identified her illness but alas, too late. She wrote a book
to heighten awareness. Gene Wilder is her widower.

Ask ten people what Wellness is and you get ten different answers. Wikipedia, the online dictionary, states that Wellness (in medicine) refers to a state of being healthy and since that is a ‘circular’ description to me, I like better the phrase that Halbert L. Dunn was credited with in the 1950’s, “Wellness is generally used to mean a healthy balance of the mind-body and spirit that results in an overall feeling of well-being”
It’s wonderful to wish someone to ‘be well!’ and we certainly wish our loved ones to be well and live well just as we wish those ‘states of well-being’ for ourselves. So, we can say that Wellness is a state of well-being in all ages of life; a life span that is increasing every year (100 year olds are less and less unusual).
