With over 20 years of experience and expertise in promotions, marketing, sales and operations, Lauren Kaplan has worked with companies large and small to deliver practical business solutions that expand business reach, drive sales performance, and engage customers. She currently heads ThinkingKap, LLC, a boutique agency that specializes in developing brand identities and crafting and executing marketing plans for businesses of all sizes. ThinkingKap has delivered for clients such as Mercedes-Benz USA, Willis International, Morris and Passaic Habitat for Humanity ReStore, Century Electric and for many mid-sized businesses in various industries in the Morris County area. Prior to founding ThinkingKap, LLC, Lauren worked for three years as the Director of Marketing at eLink Communications, a telecommunications company, where she provided complete channel support for six regional sales markets including product development, operations, collateral production, training, sales contests and promotions.
Before joining eLink, Lauren worked as a consultant where she managed cutting-edge children’s toy marketing promotions with exclusive product development for clients such as Subway Restaurants, M&M Mars and Hershey’s. Lauren spent several years at New York’s Chelsea Piers where she partnered with businesses and city agencies to create and produce free citywide children’s events and provided value-added opportunities for venue sponsors. Later, Lauren was part of the elite team that helped launch PIER SIXTY at Chelsea Piers, Manhattan’s luxurious waterfront event facility, where she managed high-profile events for prominent clients such as American Express, Janet Jackson and The Food Network. She began her career in sales with ADP and later worked for Revlon, where she created and implemented promotional tie-ins with national advertising campaigns to drive sell through. Lauren has project-managed two Reggie Award winning promotional campaigns and was named Marketer of the Year by the Community Builders and Remodelers Association in 2013. She has served on the Executive Board of the Country Oaks Homeowners Association, has served as a volunteer lacrosse coach in Mt. Olive, is an active member the Morris County Chamber of Commerce and volunteers and fundraises for various cancer charities. After graduating from Montville High School in 1990, Lauren attended Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. She graduated with honors and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication. Lauren is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City.
