Montville Township Chamber Women in Business Event Launched

WomensBreakfast 2013The Montville Township Chamber of Commerce launched its first Women-to-Women Business Networking on Tuesday morning, Sept 24 at the Municipal Building. Andrea Wasser-Malmud, MSW,LCSW, from NewBridge Services was the guest speaker and she discussed Work-Life Balance. The complimentary continental breakfast was provided by Barry's Montville Pharmacy, Montville and B & R Deli, Towaco. The Women-to-Women Business Networking is open to all women in or out of the Township. Montville Director Wins Perry Award

Darress theaterSue Conover Marinello, of Montville, NJ, won Best Director for Outstanding Production of an Original Play, on Sunday, September 22, 2013, at the 40th annual New Jersey Association of Community Theaters' [NJACT] Perry Awards Ceremony. NJACT awarded Perry Awards for this production to: director, Marinello; producer, Tom Timbrook, of The Darress Theatre in Boonton, NJ; and writer, Lawrence Francis of Long Valley. The original plays, two one-acts entitled, RU FOR SALE? and SHE LOVES ME KNOT!, premiered in May 2013.  Marinello and Timbrook’s next creative collaborations are scheduled to open in October 2014. Marinello will direct the full-length gothic dramas: DRACULA and FRANKENSTEIN.

“Joseph Plumb Martin, Revolutionary War Soldier” is the subject of the next “Glimpses of the Past Historical Society Lecture Series” at the Montville Township Historical Society’s program, October 14 (Monday), 7:30 p.m. in the Montville Township Senior House, 356 Main, Montville. Eric Olsen, Park Ranger at Morristown National Historical Park, reenacts Joseph Plumb Martin, Revolutionary War Soldier, drawing from words that he wrote during the war of his actual experiences, dangers and suffering. MEF and Pathways Fundraising Event at The Barn Theatre With The Presentation of a Grant From State Farm's Youth Advisory Board With Senator Joe Pennacchio Attending

The Montville Educational Foundation and Pathways For Exceptional Children have partnered to invite you to a "Back to School Mixer" at the Barn Theater, on Thursday, September 26th, to see Barnminilogo Veronica's Room. “This show, written by Ira Levin, the author of Rosemary’s Baby, promises a chilling, exciting, roller coaster ride of an evening!” stated Michael Abramson, President of the Montville Educational Foundation. “The profits raised by this event will help the MEF  provide funding to teachers for creative ‘out-of-the-box thinking’ for innovative projects that might otherwise not have been available. It will also support Pathways goal to help the community gain the knowledge and understanding of how to appropriately include and embrace children of all abilities and provide experiences for children with varying needs to grow, learn and discover their passions together."

Montville UNICO Celebrates its Italian Roots With Feast of San Gennaro
