Developer Sees Wayne Bayer Site for R&D Use

BayerVision Equities of Mountain Lakes would also buy Montville campus. A developer is seeking to buy Bayer HealthCare's 53-acre Wayne campus and market it as potential office and research and development facility. As part of a global deal it struck with the drug maker, Vision Equities LLC of Mountain Lakes can purchase two Bayer sites in North Jersey — the one at 6 West Belt Parkway in Wayne and another at 340 Changebridge Road in the Pine Brook section of Montville, said Samuel Morreale, managing partner for the real estate firm. Montville Twp. is Looking at a Tax Levy

Montville Township Administrator Victor Canning provided the Montville Township Committee with Montville Chmaber of Commerce two revised budget proposals including appropriations and revenue summaries at the Committee meeting on Tuesday, March 12. Canning explained that there are three areas of significant increases in appropriations. They are tax appeals that have been settled requiring refunds to be paid by the township, terminal leave payouts owed to those who retired at the end of 2012, and increases in health insurance. The increase in appropriations is compliant with the 2.5 percent appropriations cap. The increase in total general appropriations for 2013 is $483,295, which is an increase of 1.69 percent from 2012. After 3 Bomb Threats at Montville Schools, a $1,000 Reward For Info

LazarAfter township schools saw three bomb threats over barely more than a week, Superintendent Dr. Paul R. Fried told NJ.com "the consequences for this, if you're caught, are huge." The bomb threats — first at Robert R. Lazar Middle School on March 4, then at Cedar Hill Elementary School a few days later, and finally at Hilldale Elementary School — had all come in the form of notes discovered at the schools, he said.  Continue reading nj.com

Pine Brook Gas Attendants Owed Back Pay in Multi-Million Dollar Settlement

Shell stationA Madison man has agreed to pay $2 million in overtime back wages and $1 million in damages to employees at gas stations he owns throughout New Jersey, including one in Pine Brook, the U.S. Labor Department announced Thursday. The Shell station 287 Changebridge Road is included in the settlement. The agreement involves 417 workers at 72 gas stations owned by Waseem Chaudhary. Employees often worked up to 84 hours per week but did not receive earned overtime pay, a department news release said. Continue reading montvillepatch.com
