June 5 - Cabaret at the Barn Theater

The Montville Twp Public Library’s Endowment Fund Inc., also known as the Library Foundation, will be sponsoring a summer play, “Cabaret” at the Barn Theater on Thursday, June 5^th.  A wine and cheese reception is at 7:00 PM and the performance is at 8:00 PM.

This hit musical features a legendary score by Kander and Ebb. Set in Berlin during the rise of the Third Reich, the story follows a cabaret performer, Sally Bowles, and her love affair with an American writer, Clifford Bradshaw. The story plays itself out in the decadent Kit Kat Club in song and dance. Provocative and entertaining, the play provides a remarkable insight into those stormy days. The musical score includes “Two Ladies”, “Wilkommen”, “Don’t Tell Mama”, and of course, the show stopping title piece, “Cabaret”.

The Barn Theater is at 32 Skyline Drive off River Road in Montville
