Cold water on global warming

Globalwarmingswindle It has almost become something of a joke when some "global warminAlgorefireg"  conference has to be cancelled because of a snowstorm or bitterly cold weather. But stampedes and hysteria are no joke -- and creating stampedes and hysteria has become a major activity of those hyping a global warming "crisis."

They mobilize like-minded people from a variety of occupations, call them all "scientists" and then claim that "all" the experts agree on a global warming crisis.

But a new and very different conference on global warming will be held in New York City, under the sponsorship of the Heartland Institute, on March 2nd to March 4th -- weather permitting.

Deconstructing Media Bias: The Jerusalem Massacre

The further the Palestinian Arabs move toward a barbaric Islamic theocracy, the deeper the support for them among the cadre of "progressive" journalists. An example of the entrenched bias is last Thursday's (March 6) article from the Associated Press, "7 die in shooting at Jerusalem seminary."  Let us first examine the headline: "7 die." Seven what-people? Martians? And they are not killed, they simply "die," in the passive sense, as if from a stroke.

Wonder why?

It snowed last Tuesday. So, the state, as is its custom, paid 700 private sector snow plow drivers the Pork agreed to rate of $120 per hour to plow state highways. But because last Tuesday was Lincoln's Birthday, a state holiday, the drivers got another $13 an hour in holiday, or overtime, pay. These were not even state workers.

Friday - Bionic Skin

Bionic A new kind of artificial skin made from thin layers of polymers and carbon nanotubes could soon give patients and robots alike the sensation of hot, cold, and pressure. With robotic and computer technologies advancing, artificial hands have become increasingly lifelike in motion and flexibility. But artificial skin is still, for the most post, an unfeeling plastic coating.

"By employing carbon nanotube technology, we can not only come very close to existing skin characteristics, we may even exceed them," said John Simpson, a senior research scientist at Oak Ridge National Laboratory's Nanomaterials Synthesis and Properties Group.   See Artificial Skin Mimics the Real Thing.
