Dr. Pallay Explains Electronic Medical Records

Q. My doctor says his office is introducing electronic medical records, a system he says can improve care, reduce costs and even save liveChgbdgmeds. How does this system work and how can I be sure it is safe and secure?

It contains the same information that goes into a medical chart -- and is treated with the same respect and confidentiality as the paper chart.  See Daily Record.

Arnold I. Pallay, M.D., medical director of Changebridge Medical Associates, is a board-certified family physician, a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and a member of the Medical Staff at Saint Clare's Hospital.
